	Fabrizio Lucarelli
	Nato a Roma il 9 Gennaio 1971, si è laureato in Fisica presso l’Università “La Sapienza” di Roma con una tesi sulla astronomia di neutrini di altissima energia con rivelatori sottomarini. Si è poi trasferito in Spagna, presso l'Università Complutense di Madrid, dove ha conseguito il titolo di Dottore di Ricerca in Fisica con una tesi sulla rivelazione di raggi gamma da sorgenti astrofisiche con telescopi Cerenkov al suolo. Durante il dottorato, il Dott. Lucarelli è stato membro della collaborazione internazionale HEGRA ed ha lavorato per quasi due anni presso il “Max Planck Institut fur Kernphysik” di Heidelberg (Germania), dove ha svolto gran parte del lavoro di tesi. Ciò gli ha valso il riconoscimento del titolo di “Doctor Europeus” da parte dell'Università Complutense. Finito il dottorato, ha proseguito per due anni le sue ricerche nel campo dell’astronomia gamma come membro della collaborazione MAGIC, con un contratto postdoc concesso dall'Università Complutense, dove ha anche svolto attività didattica come esercitatore di Fisica Generale. E’ esperto di astrofisica di particelle ed, in particolare, di astronomia di raggi gamma con rivelatori al suolo e astronomia di neutrini con rivelatori sottomarini. Dal Giugno 2005 è rientrato in Italia grazie ad un contratto del Programma RC, ed è attualmente professore a contratto presso il Dipartimento di Fisica dell’Università “La Sapienza”. Nel primo anno di attività, è stato co-titolare del corso di Fisica Sperimentale per il Corso di Laurea in Chimica Industriale. Attualmente, è invece titolare del Corso di Laboratorio di Fisica Sperimentale, sempre per lo stesso CdL. Come attività di ricerca, partecipa agli esperimenti ANTARES e NEMO-RD per lo sviluppo di un telescopio Cerenkov sottomarino per la rivelazione di neutrini di altissima energia da sorgenti astrofisiche. Born in Rome, January 9th 1971, he has been graduated in Physics at the "La Sapienza" University of Rome with a thesis on neutrino astronomy with underwater detectors. Then, he has moved to Spain, to the University Complutense of Madrid, where he got his PhD with a thesis on gamma-ray astronomy with ground-based Cerenkov telescopes. During his PhD, Dr. Lucarelli has been member of the international collaboration HEGRA and has worked almost two years at the "Max Planck Institut fur Kernphysik" of Heidelberg (Germany), where he has carried out great part of his thesis job. That has been worth it the acknowledgment of the title of "Doctor Europeus" by the Complutense University. After the PhD, it has continued for two years its research in the field of gamma-ray astronomy as member of the MAGIC collaboration, with a granted postdoc from the Complutense University. During this period, he has also carried out didactic activity for the General Physics course of the Chemistry faculty. His major expertise is in astroparticle physics and, in particular, Gamma-Ray Astronomy by ground-based detectors and Neutrino Astronomy with underwater detectors. Since June 2005, it has come back to Italy thanks to a contract of the “Rientro dei Cervelli” program, and is currently professor at the Department of Physics of "La Sapienza". In the first year of activity, he has been Co-holder of the General Physics course for the Faculty of Industrial Chemistry. Currently, he is holder of the Course of Physics Laboratory, always for the same faculty. As research activity, he is involved now in the ANTARES and NEMO-RD experiments, aimed to the development of an underwater Cerenkov telescope for the detection of very high neutrinos from astrophysical sources.
