  Fabio Celani      
  Fabio Celani è nato a Roma e ha conseguito la laurea con lode in ingegneria elettronica presso l’Università degli Studi di Roma “La Sapienza” nel 1996, e ha conseguito il master ed il dottorato in systems science and mathematics presso la Washington University in St. Louis negli Stati Uniti d’America rispettivamente nel 1999 e nel 2003. E’ stato post-doc presso il Center for Ships and Ocean Structures della NTNU Norwegian University of Science and Technology a Trondheim in Norvegia dal 2003 al 2005. E’ stato professore a contratto presso il Dipartimento di Informatica e Sistemistica Antonio Ruberti della Sapienza Università di Roma dal 2005 al 2009 nell’ambito del programma “Rientro dei Cervelli”. Dal 2010, è ricercatore universitario presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Astronautica, Elettrica ed Energetica della Sapienza Università di Roma. Inoltre dal 2008 è professore a contratto presso l’Università e-Campus di Novedrate (CO). E’ stato ospite presso il Mittag-Leffler Institute a Djursholm in Svezia nel 2003.
I suoi interessi di ricerca riguardano la teoria dei sistemi e del controllo e le sue applicazioni con enfasi sul controllo non lineare, la stabilizzazione, la regolazione dell’uscita, e le applicazioni ai sistemi di potenza.
E’ un membro del comitato editoriale dell’International Journal of Mechatronics and Automation.


Fabio Celani was born in Rome, Italy and received his Laurea degree (summa cum laude) in electronic engineering from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, Rome, Italy in 1996, and his M.S. and D.Sc. degrees in systems science and mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis, St. Louis, MO, USA in 1999 and 2003, respectively. He was a research associate at the Center for Ships and Ocean Structures of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway from 2003 to 2005. He was an adjunct professor at the Department of Computer and System Sciences Antonio Ruberti of Sapienza University of Rome, Rome, Italy, from 2005 to 2009 taking part to the program “Rientro dei Cervelli”. Since 2010, he is an assistant professor at the Department of Astronautical, Electrical, and Energetic Engineering of Sapienza University of Rome, Rome, Italy. Since 2008 he is also an adjunct professor at e-Campus University, Novedrate (CO), Italy. He held a visiting position at the Mittag-Leffler Institute, Djursholm, Sweden in 2003.
His research interests lie in the field of control and systems theory and its applications, with emphasis on nonlinear control, stabilization, output regulation, and applications to power systems.
He is a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Mechatronics and Automation.
